Safety

Camp Debbie Lou was created for just one purpose - to provide fun, love, and laughter for families with children who suffer from cancer.

We take our responsibility to provide the fun seriously, which means we also take seriously the unique medical and safety needs of our guests.

Camp facilities are fully accessible to guests with disabilities.  Staff members go through a rigorous selection process and training each summer prior to camp. An on-site nurse, who works from a dedicated nurse’s station, is fully qualified to handle routine medical care and emergencies.  If a major medical situation should arise, local emergency service providers are on call and hospital facilities are a short drive away.

The Camp Chef and kitchen staff are also prepared to work with our guests to accommodate any food allergy needs when requested.

find rest, o my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge
Trust in Him at all times, o people, pour out your hearts to Him,
For God is our Refuge.
– Psalm 62: 5-8
